Plain language, no surprises. TutorTiles is a letter-tile board for reading tutoring. We collect as little as possible, and your students' information never leaves your device.

The short version

We store your email only if you start the demo or buy — kept in our payment provider (Stripe), never sold or shared.
Your students' names and notes stay on your own device. They are never sent to us or stored on our servers.
We use Google Analytics for basic usage stats, but we never send it your email or your students' data.
Want out? Reply to any email from us or your purchase receipt and we'll delete your details.

What we collect, and why

Your email address. We ask for it in two places: when you start the free demo (so we can send demo access and occasional TutorTiles updates), and at checkout (so we can deliver your license key and receipt). We also record whether you told us you're a tutor, teacher, or parent, if you chose to.

Payment details. Purchases are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store it. Stripe shares back only your email and confirmation that payment succeeded.

Usage analytics. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and which features get used (pages viewed, demo starts, purchases). This uses cookies and collects general, non-identifying information. We deliberately do not send your email or any student data to Google.

What stays on your device

The heart of the app runs in your browser. Every student profile, note, unit position, and word-list edit you make is saved only in your browser's local storage — on the device you're using. It is never transmitted to us. That means it's private to you, works offline, and is yours to back up (Settings → Export). It also means clearing your browser data will erase it, so keep a backup.

Where your email is stored

Emails live in our Stripe account as customer records — leads from the demo and paying customers alike. We use them to deliver your key, provide support, and send the occasional product update. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with anyone, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from updates any time — reply to any email from us and say so.
See or delete your data — reply to your purchase receipt or any TutorTiles email and we'll show you what we have or remove it.
Opt out of analytics — use your browser's Do Not Track / cookie controls, or a content blocker; the app works the same either way.

Children

TutorTiles is bought and operated by adults — tutors, teachers, and parents. We don't knowingly collect any information from children. A student's name or notes that a tutor types stay on that tutor's device and are never sent to us.
